Cabbage is one of great vegetable. There are many varieties of cabbages. These vegetables have a lots of health benefits.
Preparation + cooking times: 30 minutes
500 g cooked rice
500 g red cabbage, finely shredded
400 g white cabbage finely shredded
15 g cloves garlic, sliced
2 level tsp ground pink Himalayan salt or choice of salt
2 level tsp cumin seeds
2 (15 ml)tabs coconut oil or choice of cooking oil
1. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Place garlic, salt and cumin seeds. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
2. Place the cabbage to the wok, cook for 15 – 20 minutes, medium heat. Stirring time to time.
3. Add rice into the wok, stir fry 3-4 minutes high to medium heat, tossing constantly until the rice is heated through.
Hints and tips:
Can use left over cold rice.
Before adding cold rice, heat rice in the microwave (100% high) 1 minutes and 30 seconds.
This rice dish has more flavour next day.
Can use few type of cabbage or just one type of cabbage.
