Strawberries are extra colorful and refreshing. Apples are bring extra crunch and sweet, sour flavor to this salad.

Preparations time; 20 mins.

 

Serve 5 to 6
 
200 g to 300 g washed, torn lettuce you’re liking ( I used cos and red oak leaf)  
200 g washed, sliced fresh strawberries
2 washed, cored, sliced or cubed green apple 
50 g roasted nuts or seeds (optional)
 
For chia seeds dressing;
60 ml apple cider vinegar
60 ml cooking oil (I used red island extra virgin olive oil)
2 tbs honey or puree maple syrup (I used organic Australian honey)  
1 tbs level chia seeds
10 g finely diced shallots or onion
1 tsp level Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp level ground salt 
In a bowl whisk together vinegar, honey, onion, mustard and salt. Place oil and chia seeds whisk until well combine.
Arrange the lettuce, apple and strawberries on a salad bowl. Sprinkle some nuts or seeds you desired. Drizzle the chia dressing over the salad.
 
Hints & Tips;
Can use grapes, pears, cucumbers, berries and pomegranate for this recipe.      
When using cos lettuce use the leave with stem. Stem has crunch texture and bitterness. Also it has a some nutritions.
