This recipe is a healthy option for those who have high blood sugar and cholesterol. Also dairy, gluten, nuts and grain free and suitable for weight losses and paleo diets. 
Red cabbage is one of the most nutritional vegetables on the planet. Some people are not keen to have cabbage in their diet, the taste of raw cabbage or the problem of gas. Cooked cabbage is a good option to see whether you like it or not. 
Simple sauté cabbage goes with bbq, roast, fried meats, root vegetables, sea foods or steamed rice as a side dish. A good companion for sandwiches and wraps. 
  
Preparation + cooking times 35 mins.
Serves 4 – 5.
 
500 g red cabbage, washed, thinly shredded
75 g onion, finely chopped
1/2 level tsp ground pink Himalayan salt
1 tbs macadamia oil or choice of cooking oil
 
 
Method
 
1. Heat the oil in a nonstick prying pan medium heat. Add the onion, fry until softened and aromas comes. 
 
2. Add the salt and fry 3 seconds.
 
3. Add cabbage and stirring well, turn the heat to medium to low sauté for 20 minutes, stirring form time to time until cabbage is cooked and a soft texture.
