Absolutely the taste is amazeballs. Yes, dandelion has a bitter taste but if it is swirled with oyster sauce then sprinkled with lime or lemon juice it brings sweetness to the dandelion.
Preparation & cooking times; 15 mins.
300 g firm hard tofu, cut into batons (sticks)1.5 cm long by 1 cm
50-100g fresh dandelion leaves, washed, shredded into 0.5 cm size
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 (30 ml) level tbs G/F oyster sauce or choice of oyster sauce
1 tbs light flavour good quality cooking oil
Lime or lemon juice to taste
1. Heat oil in a pan (can be nonstick) on medium to high heat.
2. Add the garlic and fry until aroma comes and it is light golden brown.
3. Add the tofu and fry stirring 1 minute. Turn heat medium to low then add dandelion and oyster sauce, cook stirring 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat.
4. Sprinkle lime or lemon juice to taste. Serve over rice or can be served alone.
