Kale is a great remedy for your health. It has full of antioxidants and no fat, high in iron. You will need only four ingredients to cook this dish. Simple tasty and healthy.
Preparation and cooking time 12 minutes.
250g kale (I used organic kale from my garden)
100g onion
1tbs cooking oil (choice of yours)
½ tsp level ground salt
Method
1. Wash the kale and tear the leaves into bite pieces (as a salad) and set aside. Cut the kale stem into (1inch) 3cm size set aside.
2. Peeled onion cut into quarter and sliced.
3. Heat the frying pan or wok over medium heat. Add oil. When oil is hot add the sliced onion and salt. Cook for 1 minute stirring constantly.
4. Add kale stem and cook another 1 minute. Then add kale leaves cook stirring constantly. Until leaves cook through and colour of the leaves are bright green for1-2 minutes.
Serve as a side dish; with steam rice, fried rice or roasted, BBQ meat or poultry.
Hints and tips:
Use kale stem. It has more minerals, vitamins and fibre.
Also using kale stem give crunchy texture to the dish.
When you are cooking green vegetables, it’s very important keep the green colour on them. It gives good appearance to the dish.
